Dynamic Change of messages

Hi,
I'm currently working on displaying a client window in a browser which was earlier implemented in Solaris platform. Now that I'm able to communicate and display windows, a new problem occured. I have to change the messages to be diplayed depending on the incomming input. I would like to know if this is possible using HTML. i.e. Can HTML components be changed dynamically based on inputs?
