    FLV Video Players?

I'm looking for a nice flv video player that's customizable and easy to use and preferably free to use without restrictions or branding. Flowplayer looks really nice, but the commercial lisence is bit out of my budget and I don't think it's style can be customized.

    Any recommendations?

JW player is also nice and is much cheaper, but seems more difficult to style and has fewer features.

Would it be difficult to create a custom FLV player from scratch? Does anyone know of a good, up to date tutorial for this? I have Flash CS3.

No it's not that tough to create your own. The good part about building your own is that the appearance can be whatever shape or design you'd like, from simple to far out. All the real work is done by the ActionScript in the background, not just because something happens to looks like a button. So use your imagination!!
Here's some example of custom players:

    or
    http://www.lynnjohnson.citradingcard...eo_player.html
    for .flv video
    custom music players like:
    http://www.uncledoodad.com/live/live.html
    and
    http://www.uncledoodad.com/photo_ss/...index_its.html
So what I'm trying to get across is that your player can be unique, any size or shape you want. The action is all happening behind the scenes with the AS.
Here's a good source for tuts to create your own:

    and

    Best of luck to ya,

Hi, the best video player to use is THEOplayer. The pricing is not public but you can request a free trial.
    https://www.theoplayer.com
It is the ONLY HTML5 video player that can guarantee HTTP Live Streaming playback, cross platform, without any plugins such as Flash or Silverlight.

HTML5, its 100% free and up to you to program your needs very simply or as complex as you need them to be.

Why are you still using Flash media? HTML5 is native support in browsers, like javascript.
--> JavaScript Frameworks like JQuery, Angular, Node <--
... and please remember to wrap code with forum BBCode tags:-

    [CODE]...[/CODE] [HTML]...[/HTML] [PHP]...[/PHP]

If you can't think outside the box, you will be trapped forever with no escape...
