    Angry IE6 table margin problem

    I have this page:

    http://www.hreo.ku.edu/policies_proc...nt_hiring#rs13

It looks just fine in FF3, but when you look at it in IE6, the table has a huge top margin and it overlaps the next paragraph and then the next paragraph has a messed up bottom margin as well.

Does anyone know the cause of this?

I've tried to setting margin, padding to 0, commented out the table css, commented out the paragraph css...to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

IE6 panics/chokes when presented with proper code. One way to fix would be to use conditional comments in your external css document and make tweaks for IE6 to whichever div is giving you issues:

    I've created a standalone page:

    http://www.hreo.ku.edu/sandbox/wprac...ent_hiring.php

I've stripped it of all CSS except for the page specific css...
It's STILL doing it in IE6...

I've tried wrapping it in a DIV, I've tried floating it, I've tried everything.

    Please help

I thought I was better at CSS than this...

The table down at the bottom has a huge top margin.

Is it not showing up for anyone else in IE6?

    Thanks for all your help

I have the same problem in IE7. Top margin depends on the number of rows. Haven't found any solution yet.

If you are incorrectly hiding and showing rows or using positioning you could be causing the problem
