Hello,
I've been shopping around for a web server for my website. Right now, it is a 10-year old IBM desktop computer running a dynamic website and its just a hobby site for some of my friends and colleagues.
I want to open it up and get some good traffic coming to it, with a server that can handle the load, so I'm looking to replace that server.
Generally, how do you determine the maximum traffic a server can handle?
Also, would a HP ProLiant DL380 (G4) server with a Xeon 3.6Ghz processor be a good choice for a web server? How much traffic could I throw at that?
Thanks for the help!
