What's needed to support comments on site articles?
Just wondering what I can use and what I must set-up to allow people to leave comments underneath articles on my site?
I want to display something like a "Comments (12)" hyperlink underneath a story and when the user clicks on this link they see the 12 posted comments..
http://www.brothers-brick.com/2007/12/page/2/ is an example.
You would have to use something like WordPress, which is what the example site uses. With templates you can determine where content like comments are placed. Hope that helps!
Looks interesting s/w. Trying to install it now
Glad to help! It's great software.
Hey I have a question,
I installed the WordPress s/w and now it is available here:
I see it really is blog s/w. I just want the comments feature. Is there any way I can integrate the way people can submit comments into my plain old HTML homepage http://www.minifigtimes.com/index.shtml ?
You would have to use PHP or another server side language to do that. I would just adapt the WordPress theme to make it look exactly like your homepage does now. That way everything looks the same and people can post comments. No fuss no muss.
I see. That sounds tricky but I will look into it Thanks for your help.
