2px Center DIV Offset Between Browsers

Search 790px in source. When widened to 792px, the content and footer divs line right up neatly in FF. Not so in IE. Diabolic shenanigans I tell you. So what's the prob and who's prob is it? Maybe another way to go about this?

I know how you feel at 1am working on a pet project since your off of work at the hostel..

So you know, every-other pixel-width I tested in FF (latest) shows a slight break in the alignment of the 'top' and 'middle' images for the content-areas background.

And I thought I was going crazy. The first time around I clicked the link I posted and everything lined up perfectly in both browser.... I HADN'T CHANGED ANYTHING. Then it offset the next day I looked at it. I'm tellin you it's possessed.
