Hey everyone I'm considering transferring my domain to a web hosting company so I can build a website on it, but I have a question. What would be the downsides of just keeping the domain name at my current registrar and simply changing the name servers? If I did it that way, I wouldn't have to pay for a domain name transfer.
Very little downside to leaving your domain where it is. In fact if you're not having some problem with the current registrar, there's no reason I can think of to move it. Domain registration and web hosting are very often done through different companies.
