No question. I was just pointing out a resource for devs to use Javascript on the desktop. Unless this thread only allows questions? (and not discussions )
feedback:
don't get discouraged; developers are finicky, stubborn and lazy; we hate new things!
considering widely supported tech like AIR, .HTA, Chrome App Shortcuts, .NET's webbrowser control, Vista Gadgets, OSX Widgets, and the Yahoo widget engine, i don't see the unique selling point for this product.
could you explain it's advantages over the above techs?
Well, I suck at design and by using the ExtJS library, they have somewhat taken care of the aspect of design, so I can worry more about finding a niche internet market that I would like to get content from or provide content for others and coding it out. I guess javascript is such an easy language for me to program in that I like the fact that it is the ONLY language necessary to use.
I haven't looked too far into those other platforms though.
