Wordpress 2.1.3 issue

Hi All,
I'm new in this site, and I really need your help on the issue I have posted here.

I have customized a word press blog version: 2.1.3. But now in my site, a 4 length alpha-numeric character is being displayed randomly in all the pages and I can’t find it out from where it is coming. It always comes above the "<Doctype>" like "04ac, 98ba" etc... also, after the closing of the html tag.Some times the number will also be displayed in the sidebar.

I thing you have understood the problem. Hope someone have faced this problem before and found solution, or else if its new to you, please give me a solution or a suggestion for the issue.

All the versions of WordPress prior to 2.7.1 have known security holes that mal-adjusted people can use to cause such problems. The first step is to upgrade to the latest version.
