form and ie7

my websites has been completely validated and appears correct in every browser i have (mozilla operah safari) except ie7. everything thing appears in ie7 but is just distorted in terms of layout of items in the form (text box's dont align etc). is there anyway i can change the code (maybe the css) for just ie7?

just to add on:
i used the star hack (*border: 1em) to design my form to look correct in ie7 when i preview the file locally but when i upload the css file with the hacks the form doesnt appear in ie7 as it did when i previewed it locally in ie7?
any1 know why?

Don't use hacks. Use conditional comments.
