Hi guys, I'm having some problem with encoding or the charset of my website. I've got it set to ISO-8859-1 at the moment mainly because it's in both Icelandic and English so ISO-8859-1 was the better choice at the time.
As you can see, the text submitted by the users has ? in it in weird places. I think they are suppose to be ' " , and characters like that. I can't replicate the error. I've tried different browsers and tried forcing the browser to use another encoding but nothing seems to "not" work
Many times that is the result of copy-and-pasting text from MS Word, which usually uses a proprietary MS character set. This might help you change them into something more usable: http://www.charles-reace.com/blog/20...-ms-word-text/
