Replacing a NULL value with a defaul value on INSERT?
I'm using PHP and inserting into MYSQL. I have some NULL fields being imported and I want to make it so that instead of storing the fields as NULL MYSQL stores it as a default value.
I'm not entirely sure if this is a PHP or a MYSQL issue, but I vaguely remember thinking there is a way in MYSQL to automatically give NULL fields a default? Like when setting up the database you can make certain columns have a default value that will "take" any time data is inserted with that column NULL?
