    SWF player to auto stop in IE!

    Ok, so i combined 2 javascripts to get what i needed: an open source flash player that has a playlist of videos for the viewer to choose from. But, after combining these 2 scripts, i realise that (and this only happens in IE.. FF seems to work fine) when i play one video, but don't manually stop it, and click on another link to another video, the last video still plays in the background.

    I just need to know if there is any possible way to get the video to stop when i click on another link.

    The player i used can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpwplayer

    and the javascript for the gallery that i combined with the player can be found here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/agallery.htm

    Here's what I have in my HTML:
    <div class="gallerycontent" subject="Changi Motorsport Hub - Sound Design">
    <div id="flvplayer"></div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var so = new SWFObject("mpw_player.swf", "swfplayer", "320", "240", "9", "#000000");
    so.addVariable("flv", "showreel/video.flv");
    so.addVariable("jpg","showreel/imagen.jpg");
    so.addVariable("backcolor","000000"); // Background color of controls in html color code
    so.addVariable("frontcolor","ffffff"); // Foreground color of controls in html color code
    so.addParam("allowFullScreen","true");
    so.write("flvplayer");
    </script>
    </div>

    <div class="gallerycontent" subject="Changi Motorsport Hub - Sound Design">
    <div id="flvplayer2"></div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var so = new SWFObject("mpw_player.swf", "swfplayer", "320", "240", "9", "#000000");
    so.addVariable("flv", "showreel/CMH.flv");
    so.addVariable("jpg","showreel/ps.jpg");
    so.addVariable("backcolor","000000"); // Background color of controls in html color code
    so.addVariable("frontcolor","ffffff"); // Foreground color of controls in html color code
    so.addParam("allowFullScreen","true");
    so.write("flvplayer2");
    </script>
    </div>

    <div class="gallerycontent" subject="Animagine - Original Music Composition">
    <div id="flvplayer3"></div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var so = new SWFObject("mpw_player.swf", "swfplayer", "320", "240", "9", "#000000");
    so.addVariable("flv", "showreel/video.flv");
    so.addVariable("jpg","showreel/imagen.jpg");
    so.addVariable("backcolor","000000"); // Background color of controls in html color code
    so.addVariable("frontcolor","ffffff"); // Foreground color of controls in html color code
    so.addParam("allowFullScreen","true");
    so.write("flvplayer3");
    </script>
    </div>

    <!--HTML for gallery control options below. Remove checkboxes or entire outer DIV if desired --> </th>
    <th width="234" align="left" valign="top"><img src="images/CDs.png" /><br />
    <br />
    <span class="MAIN">To view some of our works, <br />
    please select and play the following files:</span> <br /><br />

    <form name="gallerycontrol">

    <select class="gallerycontroller" size="4" name="menu" onChange="manualcontrol(this.options.selectedIndex)" STYLE="background:#666; scrollbar-face-color: #317B9C; scrollbar-track-color: #87B4C9; scrollbar-arrow-color: #54A1C4; scrollbar-3dlight-color: #B8D7E6; scrollbar-shadow-color: #1E6180; scrollbar-highlight-color: #7CBCDA; scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #1E6180; border-color:#000000">
    <option>Blank form</option>
    </select><br>
    </form>

    _______________

    Not sure if I have provided all the necessary information, but if i have not, please let me know!

    Yup, so i don't know if there's a way to get the video to stop playing, but if anyone knows, please help me out?

    Thanks!

    Jia

    This one seems a little more complicated, but maybe closer to what you are looking for:
