    resolved [RESOLVED] problem adding web reference for the web service located at server

    hello

    i am trying to add webreference by right clicking on project in visual studio 2008 located

    at webadress http://www.uclocal.com/customerservice.asmx visual studio finds the webservice

    but it dont add webreference it gives me error message below

    The document at the url http://www.uclocal.com/customerservice.asmx?WSDL was not recognized

    as a known document type.

    the error's fairly clear, it says it can't find the webpage listed. when i load it, i get a 404. are you sure you have the path correct?

    i really appreciate your help but i am working hard to get this done. i just create a simple web service and i can not locate them its bizzare

    the pages look better today. yesterday i was getting 404's. have you tried again?

    Red face hello cheez

    still dont work please help me i feel like doin a suicide and leaving a note behind that says i have done suicide coz my webservice didnot work m really upset i mean my client dont want to change their domain but they gave me full access to the domain but i dont know what to do what to change to get this webservice up and running and service it works fine i dont want to buy a new domain just to for this webservice.is there any other way around if i could create subdomain because i think i cannot add web reference because of web.config file.what do u think cheez?

    Hi Hannah,

    I tried adding reference to both URLs you have mentioned :

    http://www.uclocal.com/myservice.asmx
    http://www.elloracurrycentre.co.uk/myservice.asmx

    I got 404 error page

    this issue is resolved.i have changed the webservice path. sorry for inconvenience. byee
