    Java Script editor

    is there any specific editor for writing java script code? being a begginer am finding it difficult to code with the normal text editors....

    Syntax highlighting helps out with any language a LOT... I use Dreamweaver, but there are lots of freeware editors out there too. I know HTML-Kit was a popular one a few years ago... not sure if that has changed.

    Notepad++ is probably the simplest editor that adds syntax highlighting for JavaScript. There are hundreds of others since just about any web editor can handle syntax highlighting.
