I have a form mailer which I validate using Javascript. When a required text field is left empty or inappropriately filled the program places a message in the field and highlights it - setting the focus to the field at the same time. With Windows Explorer and Opera this works fine. The page window is repositioned to show the focused box. With Firefox no repositioning takes place. I therefore included an anchor in the hope that this would do the trick. Again, this worked for other browsers but not for Firefox. Here is the relevant code:-

if (form.textarea.value.indexOf(" ") == - 1)
{
document.form.textarea.focus();
document.form.textarea.value = "Message to user";
document.form.textarea.select();
window.location.hash="ancrname";
return (false);
}

Is there a way of effecting the repositioning in Firefox? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
