resolved [RESOLVED] Caching pages html in files or in DB?

Hey I want to know the advantages and disadvantages of saving the cached html of pages in the database versus saving them as files. I have about 1 million small pages I want to cache the html of. I have them all indexed by id. So I was thinking I could have a folder with 1 million html files, named 1.html, 2.html, etc. or Have a database with 2 fields, id and html. Which one is faster? What do other people do?

Serving the file without using the database would certainly be faster. One of the reasons for page caching is to avoid a database connection where possible.
