Buggy prototype-ui carousel

my carousel is really buggy. If it works you reload the page and it doesnt work...

any reason for this? my firebug read out only has an issue with the scriptaculos effect, which im trying to fix atm.

I fixed the error with the first javascript effect but the ul element still isnt working.

any ideas why?
