    Security Problem?

    Hi,

i am working on a web application that requires server authorization.
Basically there are simple HTML-pages with a script requesting data via ajax / json to get dynamic data.
When requesting data via ajax without authorization user gets a 403 for that request. Prototype handles this 403 and displays the login-screen - a basically adapted "lightbox". This Loginscreen is a HTML-page. Onsubmit firefox asks to save the password and stores it in its password-manager. So far so good: when logging in next time, firefox does not fill in the password. Is that for any kind of security?

Firefox, probably does not put a value in it because you are probably dynamically creating it. I believe that feature only works if the control is there when the page loads.
