    Menu with a difference

    I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in javascript as it's really a bit of both, unless there's a solution to using just css, which would be great.

    It's probably easier to show what I want rather than trying to explain it. I can get a nice drop down menu, there are loads out there after all, it's just getting the list to use a transparent background image so the page shows through, and the purple bars at the top and bottom of the list. All the dropdowns also should be the same height, even if they don't have the same amount of links in them.

    Any help or ideas would be really useful thanks.

    All that styling can be done using CSS and a transparent gif set as the background. Here's some starting code:

    FYI
    * My screen resolution is set at 1680x1050
    * I'm accessing your site through a T1 line
    * I'm probably viewing it using Firefox (unless browser is specified)
