I have a client with a machine shop; they want samples of their products on their landing page. I took digital high res. pictures of the parts. Brought them into Ad. Photoshop; I selected them and imported them into another Ad.PS. file with a layer that contained the correct backgrd. color. At this point I saved them as gif images. After resizing the gif images, I then took the gif images and used them in a simple Flash program.
The client is disappointed with the quality of the parts images and I have to agree with him. But I am unsure how I can improve on them . I'd appreciate any suggestions. The test splash page is at the following link:
Did the image look fine while it was still a PSD file after you put the products on the background color? If so, your only mistake is saving the images as gif files. Gif is a very low resolution format. PNG or JPEG would be much better.
