    Setting up alias on local Apache server

    Hi!

    I'm trying to set up an alias on my local apache-server (localhost)
    I'm a newbie on this..

    I've added this to my httpd.conf, but the server want start with it..
    Code:
    Alias /GeirWd /Documents and Settings/MyName/My Documents/Folder
    <Directory /Documents and Settings/MyName/My Documents/Folder>
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    </Directory>
    What did I do wrong?

    Try this instead:
    Code:
    Alias /GeirWd C:/Documents and Settings/MyName/My Documents/Folder
    <Directory C:/Documents and Settings/MyName/My Documents/Folder>
    Or
    Code:
    Alias /GeirWd "C:\Documents and Settings\MyName\My Documents\Folder"
    <Directory "C:\Documents and Settings\MyName\My Documents\Folder">

    Thanks! The second alternative worked.

    Needed "Options Indexes" as well
