javascript, php images colliding

I have two images... and they're both moving towards each other...
when they collide I wan't it to do a function, or a php function...
and I want it right when they touch... not when they're in the same position...

you will have to work out the positions of the elements on the page, and calculate when the images hit each other. Then you can call your function.
