    Dropdownlist with font styles

I have a dropdown list for font selection and want each font in the list to display in it's style. I see it working in FF but not in IE, is there something about IE that it won't work there?
Here is the code im using:

    HTML Code:
    <select id="Select Font" style="width: 180px; height: 23px">
                <option value="0">Select Font</option>
                <option value="Algerian" style="font-family:Algerian; font-size:xx-large;">TEST</option>
                <option value="Garamond" style="font-family:Garamond; font-size:xx-large;">TEST</option>
                <option value="Latha" style="font-family:Latha; font-size:xx-large;">TEST</option>
                <option value="Constantia" style="font-family:Constantia; font-size:xx-large;">TEST</option>
            </select>[HTML]
    [/HTML]

Hmm. Works in FF, not in IE or Chrome. Don't know on this one. As it works in FF, the fonts must be in our computers.

IE is like that. If there is something in the HTML or CSS specification that they don't think is important they will not implement it.

Just copy my code from this page:
    http://www.createbutton.com

THIS PAGE IS NOT DONE, so please, no flames.

I started screwing around with the GD Library and left it sitting since May half-baked. Maybe this weekend I'll finish the button generator... or not.

The good news: It has exactly what you seek. Just lift my code. Send a beer. Cold and German if possible.

    Other solutions:

    Use an image.

If the fonts are not installed on your users' computers, they will not see them.

You can also upload the fonts and use the GD Library in PHP. This is a cool but bit more complex solution, so it depends upon what you are creating.
