how do i put a flash animation into website
need to know how to put a flash animation into a website made using dreamweaver...
and also, while i'm at it, how do you create a flash based website
are there any links to pages online that can show me how to do this

For putting flash movie into website, check out this flash video player software, which automatically generates the html page and embedding code.
For building flash based website -- you can check out this flash website builder, which is very easy to use and does not require any coding/scripting.
Do you already have the Flash movie and only need to know how to place it in an existing html page?
Embedding and object is probably the best way. However, beware Dreamweaver's suggestions if you're using it to edit your code.
I remember having problems with cross-browser compatibility with this. I can't provide details, but I remember that I put the code on my page and it worked. I opened the code in DreamWeaver and it told me to rewrite it a certain way. I listened to it, and it only worked in select browsers.
