Html: Creatint a submenu

I have some items I Need to put in a submenu form and I have been looking up some html books and could not find where it was treated.
Examle Education is the main main and I like to have English, Maths, Hostory as submenu. I like to have it so that when you click on eduction the submenu will show English, maths ans Hostory.
All help will be appreciated
