IE6 Background display problems :(

Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone here may be able to help me understand why the following layout is breaking apart in IE6.

IE6 doubles the left or right margins in case of floated elements. Stupid bug and the solution is as absurd as the bug itself: give all the floated elements display:inline
