PEAR installment

hi is there any 1 here willing to help me installing pear on to 1and1 shared host

i know they crap but its the only thing i have at my disposal atm

i basicly think ive Installed pear on ym shared host but i cant get
Ilias3 to work on my host as it keeps asking for Auth ,MDB2,MDB2 Driver mysql

basicly what i keep getting losted on is when it comes to php.ini and htaccess where do i put these files and what txt,code do i put in them?

any help would help please
