Seeking Information

I am looking to gather information on the steps to take to become a web developer.

About me:
I am currently a vb.net developer creating windows applications.
Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, vb.net, mysql, mssql
I am beginning to learn PHP
I suck terribly at graphics

How would you go about becoming a web developer? I've been trying to create websites, but without graphics to put the site together, it makes it quite hard to do much. I've tried downloading free templates, but can't find some good ones to begin learning from.

Questions, comments, etc. are all welcome.

You are wrong my friend!
All those poorly made templates you have downloaded are the perfect place to start learning! Most are "pretty" and are either all images or nested tables.... take a couple of them and fix them into nice pages with proper (x)html and css and only leave tables if they are for data.
It makes good practice!
