I'm trying to create a poll with 19 different options, but I want to only show the top 5 (or any specified number) results, rather than show all of them. I was trying to find an out of the box solution just because that would be the easiest thing, but I've looked at about 25 different ones, and none of them have this option. I didn't expect that it would be this difficult... surely someone has wanted to do this before, right?

I have two ideas.

1) I'm using ModX, which as a snippet/module for adding polls called "EasyPoll". I can't seem to figure out how to sort the results by amount of votes, but they have a javascript call back feature that I was thinking might be able display the results the way we want them to.

Here's the documentation for the "snippet": http://bummzack.ch/easypoll-snippet-documentation/

See the javascript callbacks section.

2) I found some code in a tutorial that will order the results by the amount of votes, now I just need a way to limit the amount of votes it displays. I'm thinking this will probably be pretty simple, but I wouldn't know where to start. Here it is: http://net.tutsplus.com/javascript-a...query-and-php/

If someone wants to take a stab at this, please let me know and I will pm you the log-in info if you'd like to see how everything is set up in ModX + FTP info.

This was supposed to be a fast easy site that my boss wanted me to develop in 2 days (yes, I know, it's not enough time, welcome to my life). So if anyone can help me today that would be great, otherwise I may have to use this ModX EasyPoll thing and just hide the results for now.
