Checkbox list value in javascript

Can anyone please suggest me, how to get the CheckBoxList value in client side using javascript. I need selected value not text.

Don't confuse the checked property with the value. Whilst checkbox fields can have values, this is for the purposes of server-side handlers, and doesn't relate to whether it's checked or not when querying this client side.

You need:

someElement.checked //is either true or false
