need home.html to go to index.php

I have a Joomla site with SEF URLs enabled and when I logon or off it tries to go to home.html. I have this line in my .htaccess:

I would have thought that would have worked. Can anyone advise?

Add the below line on the top of your .htaccess file and have a try:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
