jquery and wordpress

I'm trying to implement the jquery Gallerific plugin into a wordpress site, but cannot get the javascripts to load.

I would suggest posting a link so that we can see if the files are in the right location. Also, doesn't wordpress have a support site? I am not try to drive you away from the site, but if they have a support site then I would think they would have members familiar with the software.

I have done extensive research into this and haven't found the cause anywhere on the official wordpress site, I'm just posting around to see if I can come up with an answer.

The files are all in the right place, I've double checked by using the browser;s "view source" and downloading the linked javascript files. They are all correct. It has something to do with the way wordpress handles javascript.
