    Print ">" and "<" through mysql

    Hi

    I have a problem.I want when a user posts "<" or ">" on a form,this after when it is printed from mysql it would be appeared the same.Probably i think it should transform it through php to &lt; and &gt;.How can i do this in php?Should i set an if statement before echo?

    htmlspecialchars() or htmlentities() when actually outputting the text to the browser
