    Playing FLV on HTML

    I have an SWF file named myvideo.swf. To play this on a website, I simply need the following code:

    <object width="550" height="400">
    <param name="movie" value="myvideo.swf">
    <embed src="myvideo.swf" width="550" height="400">
    </embed>
    </object>

    If I have an FLV file name myvide.flv, what code would I use?

    TIA
    nv

    You can't play a .flv file directly. You'll need a media player, a .swf that plays video files. That .swf can be embeded same as your sample, but something like "swfobject" or:
    <
    Code:
    object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="filename.swf" width="#" height="#">
    <param name="movie" value="filename.swf">
    </object>
    would be better.
    For .flv video players:

    for swfobject:
    http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/

    Thank you for your prompt reply. Sorry as I am new to this.

    I don't see any reference to a .flv file above. Where do I get the .swf player?
