What are the best places to put ads on my site?

Hi guys,
I believe this forum given brilliant ideas to me and to many more people, I just want to know what are the best places to put ads on my site. I am getting good traffic but, because of not knowing where to put ads I am not able make them as money. Please help me and all suggestions are more valuable to me.

Look up "Google Heat Map"

This shows the most frequently scanned places on a page by the eyes of the average viewer.

Those are the 'hot spots'.

The best places are usually top positions of your site - the places seen by an eye without scrolling down.
