CSS Internet Explorer 6 issue

Can anyone tell me how to resolve an IE6 compatibility issue? I'm trying to right justify a "Google search" on the following page:

http://www.axtell.com/_test_site/ax.html

But IE6 shrinks the <div id="cse"> that holds the Google search so small, that there's no room for the search field anymore:

i looks like your containing <td> is the problem... the width on your input is set to 99&#37;. Set the width on the TD and that should fix your problem.

Thanks for your quick response. Can you help me locate the "containing" TD that you're referring to? Are you referring to this <div>?

#cse & #search are your culprits, its a little hard to pinpoint the problem specifically. i noticed that #search has float:inherit... the key to IE6 is keeping your code clean

add/replace these two lines into your style sheet

#cse { padding:0px; }
#search { float:none; }

i cant figure out exactly why the padding causes a problem... but removing it seems to have fixed it.

So I edited the code per your suggestion; however, now it's no longer "right-justified". I need the search to hug the right side of the page... Any suggestions?

padding:600px should have done the trip but I'm not sure why it was causing the problem?

Hit it from another angle... .gsc-control-cse give it a set width 400px... not a &#37;, then put a margin-left:500px and see if that does the trick

I finally gave up... (:

I appreciate the help. My solution: I got some code off of the Yahoo CSS grid builder (familiar?) that can server the purpose I'm looking for. It's not as tight as what the client is looking for, but at least I think it works.
