    Unordered List Not Working

    Anyone know why this unordered list (the site map itself) isn't working (styles aren't showing up):

    http://www.axtell.com/_test_site/site-map.html

    I've been racking my brains, trying to get to the bottom of this.

    Thx!

    CSS problem.

    It works fine in Firefox.
    Install Firefox. Then add the "Firebug" addon. Turn it on and play with it and you will see where the problem is in your CSS.

    HTML Code:
    #custom-doc  {
    margin:auto;
    min-width:875px;
    text-align:left;
    width:67.31em;
    }
    /*site-map.html (line 9)*/
    #doc, #doc2, #doc3, #doc4, .yui-t1, .yui-t2, .yui-t3, .yui-t4, .yui-t5, .yui-t6, .yui-t7 {
    margin:auto;
    text-align:left;
    width:57.69em;
    }

    You may want to validate your documents first:
    html 52 errors http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...Fsite-map.html
    css 83 errors http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...Fsite-map.html

    still not solved

    Thanks guys.

    Donatello, that code didn't seem to resolve the issue, but thanks anyways.

    Fang, that's a great idea to do the validation. Interestingly, there are several problems with a CSS stylesheet that Yahoo Grid Builder gave me... Have you found that their code isn't very good...?

    Lastly, I wanted to show you a "working" version of the stylesheet (how it's supposed to look), pasted into another website, so you can compare with my non-working stylesheet:

    HOW IT SHOULD LOOK:
    http://jesusfreesyou.org/axtell/site-map.html

    UNFORTUNATELY, HOW IT LOOKS:
    http://www.axtell.com/_test_site/site-map.html

    Thanks!

    Looks to me that you are having a problem loading up a clean, single, style sheet to your active site which - are you using some sort of content management system?

    kiwibrit

    Hey kiwibrit,

    Thanks for the reply. No, I'm not using a CMS. Yes, I'm having difficulty... Should I combine the CSS into one file?

    (combine

    http://www.axtell.com/_test_site/css/axtellsstyle8.css

    with

    http://www.axtell.com/_test_site/css/grids.css )

    Thanks!

    Sorry, I wasn't solving your problem, but just showing you where to look... that's where I thought the problem lied as it appears you have a mismatch in your widths. You would need to play with it a bit, I would suggest looking for the section of your CSS that I posted.

    Sorry for the delay, my flight was cancelled and I took the very, very, very long way home from Scandinavia - thanks to that Icelandic volcano.
