Hi,

I have a form that I would like to add some code to keep the bots out. Something simple like “how much is 2+10” or some other requirement.

Can anyone tell me how to do this, or is there a cut and paste code I could get somewhere on the internet?

Regardless of which method you use you will have to use some kind of server-side scripting language such as PHP to validate the user input.

Some common methods of spam catching are, like you say maths questions (1+1), common knowledge questions (Is fire hot or cold) or CAPTCHA images (a selection of random letters and numbers).

Do you have any knowledge of PHP or the like?

no I don't have any programming background. I have a form that someone developed for me and I just wanted to add that one item to the bottom to trip up bots.
