Hi, Pamela from Connecticut. I'm studying design and development/bachelors program. Please do not hold the former against me, my artistic passion is digital art and drawing/painting dragons. I'm working on a website now for my portfolio, I have a lot to learn but I am enjoying playing around with everything I am so anxious to learn and work with. I am glad I finally found this site with developer intellect and knowledge. Nice to meet everyone.

Hi Vincent, I'm Mark Rushworth, Head of Search at Blue Logic Web ( http://www.bluelogic.co.uk/web-services ), a Leeds based web development agency.

I've been working in Digital for over 14 years now and started out as a designer/developer running my own small studio with friends. I made the move to SEO as i hated the way design was being devalued by customers and wanted a role that was less subjective to work in.

We're only a small team specialising in Drupal, Open Cart, Wordpress and Magento and I personally bring to the table all of the SEO know how to iron out the issues with these systems and get clients websites ranking with the best (least spammy) content possible.

SEO gets a bad rap and yes its been a rough ride however with both Panda and Penguin doing away with the quick and dirty techniques, SEO is now more of a structured approach that builds long term benefit for clients.

If anyone has any SEO Q's then let me know.

Oh and one final tip. Run your websites through the free Microsoft SEO Toolkit before you launch. You'll be surprised at the bugs it finds.

    Cheers

    mark
