How do I keep my onmouseovers on after clicking on them

I'm new to web design and really need some help.

Can anyone help me keep the menu links on, after they are clicked. Also, will I need to edit each page for this function?

I think I have found a solution, but I did have to go in and update each page individually.

Is there a better way to do this?
