    Menu with <li> and <div> fails in IE

    I am building a site for a client that's in early stages. Firefox loves the menu which is made of <li> tags, and one nested <div> which slides down on clicking on one of the <li> tags.

    It just fails miserably in IE.

    Can anyone take a look? Thanks

    Cheers!!!

    Invalid markup: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...vents.co.uk%2F
    Parent element of a <li> is <ul> or <ol> not a <div>

    That isn't the correct syntax for a list.

    It must be:

    Code:
    <ul>
        <li>list item 1</li>
        <li>list item 2</li>
        <li>list item 3</li>
    </ul>
    your missing the <ul> and </ul> tags, you have incorrectly nested your slidecontent div - you need to remove the </div> just after it because there is already one after all the navigation2 list.

    lastly your javascript includes are actually redirection pages with html code!

    Thanks and thanks. I had just copied it from another project of mine, and had forgot about that. Still had trouble with the <li> which held the drop down list, but just moved it into the previous one.

    Pro stuff cheers guys. (still cant validate, stupid host adds code at the end)
