Setting up a local mysql database...

Long time since i have posted here....

I was wondering if anyone wanted to tell me how to set up a local MySQL database on windows XP. I am using apache web server by the way.

Download and install MySQL from http://www.mysql.com/ and then run winmysqladmin.exe (in the bin directory). Once you've done that, you should be good to go. I'd recommend also downloading phpMyAdmin, as it makes managing your databases much easier.
