Flash over HTML : Cant select/link

Hi guys,

Made a nice site for a friend, and having trouble getting a flash menu system floating over HTML content to allow me to select/click HTML content under the HTML - but seemingly only on mac browsers. Ive tried it on PC, and IE8/7 works fine (I can select HTML text/click links etc).

I was suggested toggling the div's z-index using jQuery..

Anyone had any experience doing this?
