PHP mixing two document types in one XML document

Hi all,

During my mock Zend PHP certification exams I have came across the following question that I have researched online but have not found a definitive, and understandable, answer to them. Can anyone advise what the answers to these may be or point me in the right direction?

What XML technology is used when you mix two different document types in a single XML document?

Validators
DTD
Transformers
Namespaces

I believe that would be XML Namespaces.

Is using XML namespaces mixing two different document TYPES though? MY understanding of XML namespaces is as per this example:

		<root
		xmlns:h="http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/"
		xmlns:f="http://www.w3schools.com/furniture">

    <h:table>
      <h:tr>
        <h:td>Apples</h:td>
        <h:td>Bananas</h:td>
      </h:tr>
    </h:table>

    <f:table>
      <f:name>African Coffee Table</f:name>
      <f:width>80</f:width>
      <f:length>120</f:length>
    </f:table>

I'm 97% sure the DTD applies to the entire document (file). The only way this question really makes sense to me is if I'm mistaken about that ...

ADDENDUM: ... given the terminology they're using here. Otherwise, nogdog's answer is the best possible answer.

Yeah, I should have said that I'm not 100% sure, it just seemed like the other answers were worse, and having multiple name-spaces within one XML document seemed at least sort of like having multiple DTDs.
