    jquery get() method

    Hey all,

    I understand that jquery get() method takes a url parameter and additional object literals as a parameter:
    $.get("test.php", { name: "John", time: "2pm" } );
    My question is what's going on behind the scenes here? Like what does the test.php and the additional object literal do once its passed int get(). I've seen technical explanations but I was hoping someone would break it down into layman terms. Thanks for response.

    Somewhere behind your screen
    why wouldn't you just open the main jquery script with any text editor and do all the investigations by yourself?
