    cookie stuff

I have a little javascript message that pops up every time a visitor come to a page. But, I want to include a check box that says "Stop displaying this message". If that button is checked, a cookie must be set. So when a visitor comes to that page, the script checks for the cookie. If it is not there, display the message. Otherwise, do not show the message. I am no good at cookies. I don't plan to be good at cookies. If at all possible, please type out the code. Kinda "copy & paste". The expiration date should be 10 days. Thankyou.

If you don't understand the code in the w3schools tute, I'm not sure how you would understand the code that I would post. They would be very similar.

So that I wouldn't waste time posting code you do not understand, what parts of the w3schools demo code do you not understand?
