    Kinda like a forum but not....

    Can I have a section of my page where people can type input into a form and have it upload to my server and post on the page of my site so everyone can see it? Kinda like a forum but just one page. Kinda like a guestbook too I guess, but I just want a form for the name and input. Thanks. You guys rock!!

    Do I need a .php extension for this one too? If so, can you tell me how to make one?

    So can I add this into an existing page, or does it have to be it's own seperate page?

    You can add it to an existing page...

    How? What part of the code do I put where? Do I have to make the original page a php page?

    If you take a look at the source, it should be somewhat obvious.

    All the code at the top stays there; you can change the below, or just add your code in after it.

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"
           "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Guestbook</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    </head>

    <body>
    Then, the next part stays there, and you can add anything else you want just before this:

    Code:
    </body>
    </html>

    Personal website http://www.ryanbrill.com/
    Business website: http://www.infinitywebdesign.com/
    TypeSpace http://www.typespace.org/

    I reject your reality and substitute it with my own!

    I copied that script to my page and made a seperate file called guestbook.text and put the .php extension on the main page, but it still doesn't work. Please post step by step procedures to making it work. I know absolutely nothing about php but am willing to learn if given the chance. Please help. Thanks.
