Web 2.0 and higher

I would like to know what is web 2.0 and higher technology?

I am creating OpenLayers maps where it features city points where you click on the city (point) and it will pop up something. The pop up has links to database driven sites. I assume my map that uses web services behind the scenes is considered above web 2.0 (maybe 2.5)?
