website technology analysis and detection

Hi all, i would know if there is a procedure, or another way, to detect what software technology
is behind a web site; i mean, i have tried some FIREFOX extensions (Wappalyzer, WooRank)
and some online site, but the results are not good enough.
Please, may you tell me about it?
